Mr. Erickson's practice areas include family office, estate planning, wills, trusts and estates, probate, trust and estate litigation, real estate, construction, land use, real estate litigation, construction litigation, land use litigation, business, corporate, insurance, business litigation, corporate litigation, and insurance litigation. He routinely works with and advises ultra-high-net-worth individuals and billionaires, as well as businesses ranging in size from closely held family companies to international conglomerates on everyday issues and complex matters. Mr. Erickson serves domestic and international clients with respect to their interests throughout California and wherever his clients need him, working in conjunction with their estate planning, real estate, business, financial, and security teams and advisors, family offices, and other legal teams in the United States and internationally. He enjoys long lasting relationships with many of his clients.

Mr. Erickson has developed a specialty assisting clients through complex estate planning, trust administrations, real estate transactions, business negotiations, succession planning, succession disputes, and all manner of civil litigation, both domestically and internationally. He also has unique expertise in representing buyers and sellers of large estates, and advising on all aspects of the construction and management of high-end real estate. A career accomplishment was partnering with insurance underwriters to develop a unique course-of-construction insurance policy for large residential projects that incorporates geologic and hydrologic coverage previously included only in commercial construction policies. It has become the standard insurance policy utilized for high-end residential construction. Mr. Erickson also has considerable experience and expertise in structuring inbound investments by foreign clients.

Mr. Erickson is a native of Santa Barbara. He received his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco in 1998 and is admitted to the State Bar of California. While at Hastings, Mr. Erickson received the American Jurisprudence Award for Wills and Trusts, and served as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Robin L. Riblet, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Central District of California.

Mr. Erickson received his undergraduate education from the University of California at Santa Barbara (UCSB) with degrees in English Literature and Environmental Sciences in 1994 and earned Dean's Honors in 1993 and 1994.
