Travis C. Logue has been a Partner of Rogers, Sheffield & Campbell, LLP for over a decade. He leads the Firm’s real estate practice, and represents clients in a broad range of real estate transactions, disputes, and high-stakes civil litigation matters. His roots in Southern California run deep, as a fourth-generation Santa Barbara local, graduate of Claremont McKenna College, and Pepperdine University School of Law.
Mr. Logue is consistently recognized as a Top Attorney and Super Lawyer in California. Possessing a unique skill set and wide breadth of experience, Mr. Logue has represented clients in both hundreds of millions of dollars of real estate transactions and the recovery of over $350,000,000 as a plaintiff’s lawyer in wrongful death, personal injury, wildfire, and property loss cases.
When the Thomas Fire and Montecito Mudslide combined to ravage the area, Mr. Logue stepped-up to ensure his community received top-notch representation. Ultimately, he was trusted by devastated families, including more than two-thirds of the families whose loved ones were killed, to deliver justice and compensation. Mr. Logue loyally represented dozens of families in wrongful death, personal injury, and property damage cases filed against Southern California Edison and various public entities. These “mass tort,” complex civil litigation cases have been pending in Los Angeles Superior Court since 2018 and continue to be successfully resolved.
Mr. Logue routinely represents ultra-high net worth individuals and family offices, and acts as the principal point person for real estate and business transactions, including clients who seek to maximize privacy and remain confidential pre- and post-closing. Typical clients own a portfolio of real estate, from luxury estates to commercial buildings and ranches.
He is lead counsel in the seminal case, Kracke v. City of Santa Barbara (2021). This hotly-contested victory gained state-wide notoriety and was certified for publication by the 2nd District Court of Appeal. It overturned the City’s controversial 2015 ban of short-term vacation rentals in the Coastal Zone, preserved important individual property rights, and revived affordable accommodations.
Mr. Logue manages all types of real estate disputes, including purchase/escrow, easement, neighbor, boundary, view, disclosure, lease, agent, and land use disputes. Mr. Logue has handled dozens of mediations and arbitrations required under the California Association of Realtors contract. He has acted as counsel for Sotheby’s International Realty and has successfully represented real estate agents in front of the Santa Barbara Association of Realtors’ ethics committee and fee arbitration panel.
As a member of the Hollister Ranch Owners’ Association for over 25 years and having served on its Board of Directors, Mr. Logue has unique expertise in handling Hollister Ranch real estate, partnership transactions, and coastal issues. He continues to represent clients in some of the most notable Hollister Ranch transactions.
Before returning to Santa Barbara to establish his practice, Mr. Logue worked in several challenging, dynamic environments, including London, Los Angeles, and Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. When not assisting his clients, Mr. Logue enjoys spending time with his family, is an avid surfer, boater, and snowboarder. He takes pleasure in attending shows at the Santa Barbara Bowl.
