Litigation Associate Position

We are seeking to hire an associate attorney to bolster our busy litigation practice. Ideal candidates will have:

  • 2-7 years of experience, preferably with cases involving real estate matters, probate litigation, and contractual disputes,
  • excellent academic credentials and interpersonal skills
  • graduated from a top-tier law school.

Candidates must be licensed to practice law in California. Interested candidates should send their resumes to the attention of the Receptionist.

Category: Office Manager

Office Manager/Bookkeeper Position

Full time, experienced Office Manager/Bookkeeper to manage busy office and handle bookkeeping for well-established Santa Barbara law firm. Requires a high degree of accuracy, organization and excellent communication skills, as well as flexibility in managing multiple priorities, including time-sensitive, highly confidential needs of attorneys and staff.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Financial Management: Managing finances, including budgets, payroll, and accounts payables/receivables, bank reconciliations
  • Human Resources: Hiring, onboarding, training, and overseeing non- attorney personnel
  • Office Administration: Overseeing office operations, including supplies, equipment, and facilities
  • Communication: Acting as a point of contact for staff and attorneys
  • Policy and Procedures: Assist with developing and implementing firm policies and procedures
  • Reporting: Preparing and distributing various reports
  • Compliance: Ensuring compliance with firm policies and procedures

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to work under pressure
  • High ethical standards and trustworthiness
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with an emphasis in Excel
  • Knowledge of Accounting and bookkeeping practices
  • Experience with HR and administrative tasks
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Required Experience:

  • At least 3 years relevant experience in A/R, A/P and HR, preferably in a law firm office
